 Pet Food Pantry

Recently there have been a large number of pets that are going hungry or wind up in shelters because their owners can no longer afford to feed them.  By offering pet food assistance we hope these people will be able to keep their beloved pet during difficult times and stay together as a family. We also hope to lessen the burden of homeless pets on local animal shelters and rescue groups.

We will soon be offering pet food for those who need assistance in providing for their pets.  Please contact us if you are having difficulty in feeding your animals for financial reasons.

 BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO

 RECEIVE FOOD

  • Proof of unemployment,  low income status, or disability with a valid driver license or some form of ID each month.
  • Agree that pets are for companionship and not for breeding or any illegal activities.
  • Animals must be spayed or neutered or have appointment made to be spayed/neutered.
  • Agree to maintain healthy condition/environment living conditions for all pets, or let someone know if this is not possible.
  • Agree to give fresh food and water daily.
  • Agree not to tether or chain dog 24/7.
  • Pick up food twice a month. We must limit the number of pets that are given food and this will be on a discussion/situation basis.
  • Agree to volunteer or give back to the food pantry when possible.

Donations needed!

We will gladly accept donations of pet food of any brand, size or variety. Kitty litter, toys, collars, leashes and other pet supplies will also be appreciated. We'll also take pet food coupons and gift certificates.

You will soon be able to drop off pet food in various stores and veterinary offices around Chenango County.

If you have any questions about receiving or donating food, or would like to help with the pet food pantry, please contact dona@allanimalsmatter.org
